ICANL Board Welcomes Three New Board Members

Paul Janes, CAPaul Janes, CA

Paul is an Audit Senior Manager in the St. John’s office of Deloitte and has over 13 years of public accounting experience, comprised of 9 years in Deloitte’s Audit and Assurance practice and 4 years in Enterprise Risk. Paul’s experience includes providing internal audit, internal control, due diligence and financial statement audit to clients in various sectors including public sector, insurance, technology, and manufacturing and processing.
Paul is very involved in the community including leading some of Deloitte’s community activities such as United Way Giving Campaign and Deloitte’s Impact Day. Paul has volunteered with not-for-profit groups in the past and is currently Chair of Community Youth Network in St. John’s. Paul volunteers with various other charitable organizations and business based groups throughout the City. Paul has participated in teaching ICANL courses in the past and is very active leading internal Deloitte courses and external presentations.

 

Colleen Menchions, BA, CA

Colleen Menchions, BA, CAColleen Menchions is the Manager of Finance and Administration with Instrumar Limited in St. John’s. Colleen graduated from Memorial University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2000, a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree in 2003 and qualified as a CA in 2005 while articling with Ernst & Young.
Since 2008, Colleen has been working as a Facilitator with the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountancy. She had also served as a member on the ICANL Discipline Committee from 2009 to 2011.

 

 

Keith Minaker, BA, CA

Keith Minaker, BA, CAKeith Minaker, CA, is currently working as a consultant, having previously spent the majority of his career working in both private industry and public practice. Keith has worked as a consultant for the Province of Manitoba, as CFO with Originals Online Limited, Partner at Meyers Norris Penny, and most recently, Divisional Controller with Provincial Aerospace.

Throughout his career, Keith has made significant contributions to the profession. He has served as a Board member for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba from 1998-2003, was a member of the Risk Policy Committee from 1998-1999, Human Resources Committee from 1999-2000, Corporate Governance Committee from 2001-2003 (ICAM). He was also a facilitator for the CA School of Business from 2002-2003.

Keith has also been active in his community by volunteering in various roles. He was Chair for the Heart and Stroke Foundation Business Campaign in 2001, was a member of the Professional Conduct Committee (College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba) from 2001-2003, and was on the Fort McMurray Community Careers Advisory Council from 2003-2010. He was elected First VP/Director of the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce from 2004-2007 and was Treasurer/Director of the Wood Buffalo Housing & Development Corporation from 2007-2010.
