Becoming a CPA

UPDATE: As of Fall 2013, admission to the CA program has closed. ICANL is part of the unification of the profession and will be joining the effort to introduce the Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation to Newfoundland and Labrador in 2014.

About CPA NL

Across Newfoundland and Labrador, the Certified General Accountants, the Certified Management Accountants, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants are working toward unification under the new Chartered Professional Accountant designation.

The CPA is the new Canadian business and accounting designation, bringing together the best of the legacy accounting programs and creating a stronger accounting association than ever before.

Become a CPA

The CPA designation is the new standard for professional accounting in Canada, uniting three existing accounting bodies under one globally recognized designation. It represents the highest level of integrated accounting and strategic-management expertise nationally and internationally.

In Atlantic Canada and Bermuda, CPA prerequisite and professional-level courses are offered exclusively through the CPA Atlantic School of Business.
